On April 15, the traditional laying of flowers to the grave of the great Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukay

April 5, 2018 (Sunday) at 10.00 on the Tatar cemetery in the Novo-Tatar settlement will be held the traditional laying of flowers to the grave of the great Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukaya. This day is celebrated as the Day of Remembrance of the Poet. Exactly 105 years ago Gabdulla Tukay's heart stopped beating. He died after living an incomplete 27 years.

Representatives of the creative intelligentsia and public organizations of the republic will take part in the ceremony.

Information: Gabdulla Tukai (1886-1913) - an outstanding Tatar national poet, literary critic, publicist and translator. Gabdulla Tukay entered the history of Tatar literature as a great national poet, who laid the foundation of national poetry and created its classical style. In the history of Tatar culture, the name Tukay occupies a special place, comparable to the significance of Pushkin for Russian culture.
