Scientific conference dedicated to 125th anniversary of Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukai took place in Ankara

December 23, a scientific conference dedicated 125th birth anniversary of Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukai took place in Ankara.

The conference was organized by Turkish linguistic society (Türk Dil Kurumu) jointly with International organization of Turkic culture (TURKSOI).

The conference was opened by reports of director of Institute of language, literature and art named after G. Ibragimov, RT Academy of sciences К.М.Minnulin and president of Turkish linguistic society Shukryu Halyuk Akalyn.

The guests and participants of the conference were welcomed on behalf of General secretary of the International organization of Turkic culture Dyusen Kaseinov and by a representative of the Ministry of culture in TURKSOI Lilia Sattarova.

Research of G. Tukai creativity, editions published for 70 years of the activity of the G.Ibragimov Institute, creative plans of the institute in this direction, state support in Tukai studies in RT were the points of k. M. Minnulin’s report.

125th anniversary of G.Tukai, noted a reporter, from one part gave a handle for new discoveries, implementation of publishing and research plans, from the other turned to be a kind of summing up in the area of Tukai studies, revealing «white spots» in this foundational in the field of literature criticism of the Republic Tatarstan.

In his report professor Sh. H Akalyn told about the reaction on early dearth of G. Tukai in Turkish press, on assessments of poet’s creativity by his contemporaries in Osman Turkey.

The reports dedicated to various aspects of studying G.Tukai’s life and creativity were made by professor Mustafa Oner (Izmir university ), Dr Ahat Salihov (TYUKSO), associate professor Mehmet Kaigana (Amasi university), associate professor Byulent Biaram (University Kyrklarely),Dr Gyulhan Atnur ( Atatyurk University Erzrum), Dr M.Arslanov, Dr Z.Shaikhislamov , L.Garaeva ( G. Ibragimov ILL).

At the scientific session held in the conference hall of Turkish linguistic society were present the university lecturers, chiefs of departments of Turkic languages, students, mass media representatives .
