The delegation from Tatarstan took part in the Aswan Film Festival
In Egypt, the 2nd Aswan International Women's Film Festival is over. A delegation of cinematographers from Tatarstan, headed by Deputy Director of the State Library of the Republic of Tatarstan, Zafar Davletshin, held a number of meetings with representatives of the Arab world. And the deputy dean of the Faculty of Cinematography and Television of the Kazan State Institute of Culture, the scriptwriter and director of the film Halima, Yulia Zakharova, became a member of the jury of the Aswan Film Festival.
We remind that within the framework of the XIII Kazan International Muslim Film Festival, an agreement was signed on cooperation between the Kazan and Aswan Film Festivals. Under the agreement, Tatarstan and Egypt have the opportunity to exchange films, materials and experts between two large-scale film forums of the world.
In the days of the Aswan Film Festival, the Kazan International Muslim Film Festival was presented. After the presentation the film "Halima" was shown. Y. Vasilyeva received a proposal to translate the film into Arabic and present to a wide audience in Egypt.
The young renowned filmmakers also expressed their desire to collaborate with the Kazan festival. Tatarstan delegation was presented to "Egyptian Nikita Mikhalkov" - the director, the owner of the film-making company Ismail Murad. In addition, an agreement was reached to participate in the festival of the famous American actor Danny Glover. The actor confirmed his visit to Kazan in the autumn of 2018 to show films with his participation and communicate with Kazan viewers.
