RT National museum carries out project «Score in goal of museum »

Modern life of Tatarstan and Russia is impossible to imagine without sports. The Univesiade-2013 in Kazan is approaching and by is followed by Olympiad in Sochi. The past of Russia and Tatarstan is famous by its bright achievements and beautiful victories. Sports of high achievements requires complete devotion, strong character and an immense power of will but there people who have managed to reach Olympic heights!
In the run up of large scale sports events RT National museum carries out a project «Score in goal of museum», forms collection about leading sportsmen and teams dedicated to achievements and development of sports in Tatarstan.
Hero of this meeting in the museum will become one of the most notorious sportswomen of Tatarstan – Kazan fencer Valentina Gennadievna Nikonova. For many years she has been manifesting the highest level of rapier command and 35 years back brought a gold medal to her motherland from Montreal.
The exhibition is prepared for the club’s session where the exhibits from collection of museum - photos, rapier, merit certificates, souvenirs are for display. Within the framework of the meeting passing of the materials from personal archive of Valentina Gennadievna, among them - medals, merit certificates, the book written by her «What was, that was…» will be held
The meeting participants will be the representatives of the Committee on preparation and holding Universiade 2013, sportsmen, pupils museum employees.
