Performances by the Kamal Theater for the fourth consecutive year in a long-list "Golden Mask"

Today, on November 2, the website of the National Theater Prize "Golden Mask" has  published a long list of the award: a list of the most notable performances of the 2016-2017 season according to the Expert Council. For the fourth year in a row, the performances by  the Tatar State Academic Theater named after G. Kamal are in a long list - this year it is  at once  2 premieres of the 111th season: the play “My White Kalfack” by Ildar Yuzeev staged by Farid Bikchantaev and the play “Without Sails” by Karim Tinchurin staged by Georgy Tskhvirava.

The long list of the festival has included  only 107 performances by  Drama  and  Puppet Theater from all over Russia.  Past years in the long-list performances there  were "Don Juan", "My name is Red" and "Bankrupt."

The Kamal Theater joins the congratulations of its colleagues - the Bashkir State Academic Drama Theater named after M. Gafuri, who was nominated for the Golden Mask Award for the performance of “Antigone”. Separately we congratulate our main director Farid Bikchantaev, nominated for the best work of the director.

We remind  that the Russian National Theater Award "Golden Mask" was established in 1993 by the Union of Theater Workers of the Russian Federation and is presented to performances of all genres of theatrical art: drama, opera, ballet, modern dance, operetta and musical, puppet theater.

"Golden Mask" is the Russian Theater Festival, which in spring each year presents the most significant performances in Moscow from Russian cities.

The organizers of the Russian National Theater Award and the Golden Mask Festival are the Union of Theater Workers of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Government of Moscow, the Directorate of the Golden Mask Festival.
