La Primavera, Rustem Abyazov and Gilles Apap will go on a concert tour of Tatarstan

11 October 2017, Wednesday

This concert is a continuation of the creative friendship between  the Kazan orchestra and a remarkable musician.

For the first time, La Primavera and Gilles Apap performed together for the opening of the previous season. On the last visit, the musician was delighted with the orchestra and the audience and accepted a new invitation.

This time the orchestra under the direction of Rustem Abiazov will present his famous guest in Kazan, Nizhnekamsk, Bugulma, Almetyevsk and Innopolis. In the program compositions by Bach, Mozart, Warlock, Ravel, as well as Irish, American, Romanian traditional music.

Gilles Apap gives concerts at international festivals in Lille, Reinhau, India and Australia. As a soloist he performs with the orchestras of Bern, San Francisco, Geneva, Istanbul, as well as Israel, Hungary, France, Russia, Germany, Canada and many others.

The Western press calls Gilles Apap a "rebel star" for his manner of playing, sitting on the edge of the stage and kicking, even in the most pretentious concert halls. He can suddenly interrupt the concert to talk with the audience. These liberties are forgiven him for his rare talent. In the US and Europe, Gilles Apapa is called "the soul of bohemia."

However, the violinist himself stresses: "To shock the public is the last thing I want. My behavior on stage is by no means a show, it's just music. "

"We are happy to present to the public one of the most interesting violinists of the world, a musician who is called" fantastic "," bizarre "," provocative "," disobedient, "says Rustem Abiazov, artistic director and chief conductor of the La Primavera orchestra.
