On October 14 and 15, the State Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Tatarstan invites guests and residents of Kazan to the annual music festival "Denis Matsuev at Friends", founded by the People's Artist of Russia, art director and chief conductor of the State Union of the Republic of Tatarstan  Alexander Sladkovsky, in collaboration with an outstanding pianist and public figure, People's Artist of Russia Denis Matsuev.

Guests and residents of Kazan to the annual music festival "Denis Matsuev at On October 14 and 15, the State Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Tatarstan invites Friends", founded by the People's Artist of Russia, art director and chief conductor of the State Union of the Republic of Tatarstan  Alexander Sladkovsky, in collaboration with an outstanding pianist and public figure, People's Artist of Russia Denis Matsuev. For 6 seasons of creative cooperation Maestro Sladkovsky, RT State Symphonic Orchestra  and a virtuoso pianist, performed 30 concerts including full cycles of F. Liszt's piano concertos, P.I. Tchaikovsky. Alexander Sladkovsky is the first conductor with whom the outstanding modern pianist Denis Matsuev performed all piano concertos of S. Rakhmaninov.

One of the largest musical events gathers connoisseurs of classical music in the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Big State Concert Hall  (BSCH)  named after S. Saidashev.

On October 14, the first day of the festival, the works of Don Quixote, a symphonic poem for cello and orchestra (the first performance in Kazan), and P. Tchaikovsky will be performed for the Kazan audience. Concerto No. 3 for piano and orchestra (first performance in Kazan), V. Lutoslavsky variations on Paganini's Theme for Piano and Orchestra, R.  Shchedrin  Concerto No. 2 for Piano and Orchestra (first performance in Kazan). Soloists: Denis Matsuev is an indispensable participant in major music festivals, a musician who is applauded at  concert halls in Russia, Europe, North America and Asia; Sergey Slovachevsky is an outstanding musician who will give a master class on cello not only to musicians of the orchestra, but also to students of musical educational institutions.

On October 15, at 14:00 the Concert of the Fellows of the Interregional Charity Fund "New Names" will be held. The fund's mission is to create an effective system of supporting young talents in the field of culture and art. Certificates for the winners of the qualifying round for further participation in the summer creative school will be presented by the president of the foundation Denis Matsuev and artistic director and chief conductor of the orchestra Alexander Sladkovsky. In the days of the show, there will be masterclasses on clarinet and bayan.

At 17:00, Kazan music lovers await  the performance of Concerto No. 17 for piano and orchestra in E flat major by Mozart, Concert No. 4 for pianoforte orchestra, Op.40 S. Rakhmaninov, music of the ballet "Firebird" (first performance in Kazan ). Soloist Denis Matsuev. The conductor is the art director of the GSO RT, People's Artist of the Russian Federation Alexander Sladkovsky.
