From October 4 to 8, 15 cities of Russia will host a documentary film festival about music and a new culture Beat Weekend, a regional version of the Moscow Beat Film Festival. This year, for the first time, not only the main movie hits from the Moscow program will go on tour, but also special guests of the festival - experts and filmmakers with lectures and discussions, as well as musicians with concerts and DJ sets.
Beat Weekend is held simultaneously in 15 cities of Russia, this year for the fifth time, in its program - the six most important and sought-after films from the summer program of the Beat Film Festival. The task of the project is to enable young people across the country to see a new documentary about cultural phenomena and heroes that are interesting and close to them.
In Kazan at the Center for Contemporary Culture "Smena" journalist and editor of Meduza website Alexander Gorbachev will give a lecture on how documentary genre in films, books and journalistic texts has gained victory.
