Classic open air: in Kazan and Sviyazhsk concerts of the festival "Music around us" will be held

From August 30 to September 2, 2017 in Kazan and Sviyazhsk  concerts and events of the IV International Festival "Music around Us", organized by the Foundation for the Development of Music Performance of the Republic of Tatarstan "Sforzando" with the support of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan R.N. Minnikhanov, State Advisor of the Republic of Tatarstan M.Sh. Shaimiev, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, the museum-reserve "Island-Grad Sviyazhsk", the museum-reserve "Kazan Kremlin" and the Directorate of Parks and Squares of the Executive Committee of Kazan will be held.

"Music around us" is a cultural and educational project, the main goals of which are the popularization of classical music and art, the opening of new names and talents, the development of the tourist direction "Kazan - Sviyazhsk". The program includes both concert performances with the participation of young musicians and eminent creators, as well as master classes by famous masters.

Entrance to all events of the festival is free.

The opening of the festival will take place on August 30 at 15.00 at  the park "Black Lake" in Kazan. The audience will get acquainted with the multidirectional tendencies in the development of contemporary art: composer Nikolai Popov and artist-abstractionist David. Ru (Moscow) will present their audiovisual performances; Philippe Nodel and the ensemble of wind music "L'esprit du Vent" (Moscow), on the contrary, will give the opportunity to hear the authentic performance of Baroque music (a play on old, historical instruments). At 18.00, the one-act comic opera by V.Mozart "Bastien and Bastienna" with participation of the Kazan vocalists Aisilu Nurullina, Rushan Shaibekov, Dmitry Bosov and the Youth Orchestra of the "Sforzando" Foundation, and conductor - Yevgeny Sakmarov (staged by Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Mnir Sokolov) will begin. The evening will complete the performance of the world's only Pianist Orchestra "Sforzando".

The second festival day will be given to master classes. At 14.00 in the Center for Contemporary Culture "Smena" there will be classes of young Kazan musicians with lady flutist Edita Fill (Poland) and composer Nikolai Popov (Moscow). Simultaneously, the master class of Philip Nodel - oboe (Moscow) will take place at the Manege Exhibition Hall (Kazan Kremlin). At 17.00 a baroque music concert will be performed by the ensemble of wind music "L'esprit du Vent".

The closing of the festival will take place on September 2 on the island of Sviyazhsk. From 14.00 on the open areas of the museum will sound your favorite classical works performed by the Youth Orchestra "Sforzando". At 15.00 in the courtyard of the Museum of the History of Sviyazhsk the opera "Aleko" by S. Rakhmaninov is scheduled (based on the poem "Gypsies" by Alexander Pushkin). The production includes: Aleko - Aytugan Valmukhametov, Zemfira - Aysylu Nurullina, Young Gypsy - Musa Kamalov, Old Man - Dmitry Bosov, Old Gypsy - Tatiana Kozhinova. The program will be completed by the musical performance "The Story of a Soldier" by I.Stravinsky (performers - Dmitry Bosov, Aysilu Nurullina, Lev Raubets), the presentation starts at 17.00. The director of both productions is Mnir Sokolov, the orchestra "Sforzando" is involved in the performances, the conductor is Yevgeny Sakmarov.
