In the Staro-Tatar Sloboda the first Republican crafts festival "The National Toy" held

The masters presented both traditional toys of Russian and Tatar peoples, as well as author's dolls, as well as other products of folk crafts. Kazan residents and guests of the capital actively participated in master classes in making toys. The festival was decorated with a concert program of folklore collectives of the Republic of Tatarstan. The project was implemented by the Cultural Center "Zalesny" under a grant from the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan to create  Russian and Tatar cultural and leisure city environment with the support of the Kazan Culture Department, the Prefecture "Old Town" and the Institute of Additional Professional Education of the Republic of Tatarstan. The partner of the festival is the Chamber of National Crafts  of Works the Republic of Tatarstan.
