26 July 2017, Wednesday

The second wind  has received  the "Breath of Time" project, thanks to the winning a grant of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan for non-profit organizations involved in the implementation of socially significant projects. The Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan has  allocated 160 thousand rubles.

The mobile exhibition exposition devoted to the Tatarstan cinema runs around the districts  of Tatarstan. A special place among the exhibits is occupied by the national film camera "Convas" in 1970, produced by the "LOMO" factory. Among e common people it is called "three-eyes". This name it  received because of the presence of three interchangeable lenses, which made the survey mobile. Part of the equipment presented at the exhibition is in working order. After the lecture, well-known Tatarstan operators and sound engineers demonstrate the use of devices in practice.

The aim of the project is to show the development of cinematography since the 1920s of  XX century and attract a potential viewer to the cinema halls.

We remind that  active members of the Union of Cinematographers of the Republic of Tatarstan O.S.Surov and V.A. Klyachkin within the Year of Russian Cinema initiated the educational project "The Breath of Time". With the financial support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, residents of 9 districts of Tatarstan were able to touch the history of Tatarstan cinema. A mobile exhibition of cinema and film requisites featuring a chronicle and documentary film about the development and of the cinematography of Tatarstan and creative meetings with well-known Tatarstan film directors has taken a tremendous liking   of school-age audiences that the Union of Cinematographers of the Republic of Tatarstan  decided to continue the project in 2017.

This year the exhibition has  already been  seen by children from the village of Koshchakovo (Pestrechinsky district). In the near future, filmmakers will go to Zelenodolsky, Vysokogorsky and Leninogorsk district of Tatarstan.
