July 8 the republic will celebrate the Chuvash national holiday "Uyav"

July 8 in the city of Nurlat of the Republic of Tatarstan  a festival of Chuvash culture "Uyav" will take place. It will be attended by the  Chuvash folk groups from cities and regions of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Chuvash Republic, the Republic of Bashkortostan, Samara, Ulyanovsk, Tyumen, Penza regions; Cities of Togliatti, Ekaterinburg, Samara, Moscow.

The program includes traditional competitions "Chuvash beauty" ("Uyav piki-2017"), "Chuvash hero" ("Chavash pattare-2017"), "National drink", "National dish", "Decorative and applied arts"; "Harmonist of Uyav"; Contest "Tree of Life", "Uyav in the lens", as well as numerous exhibitions and master classes.

The culmination of the holiday will be a large colorful round dance with the performance of old songs.
