In Kazan a memorable cancelation of the envelope depicting Mikhail Devyataev to take place

July 7 at 15.00 at  the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan   a commemorative ceremony of cancellation of the marked envelope dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Hero of the Soviet Union Mikhail Devyataev will take place. The envelope with the original stamp depicts the emblem of the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, the Gold Star medal, the portrait of M.P. Devyataev against the background of the bomber Heinkel He 111 H-22. Cancelation will be carried out by a unique postmark made especially for Kazan in honor of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

This is not the only event in the republic dedicated to the memorable date. So, in the National Museum of Tatarstan,  an exhibition entitled "Devyataev Mikhail Petrovich: Life and Feat", where the personal belongings of the Soviet pilot-fighter are displayed, and in the Museum-Memorial of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945,  the exhibits items from his collection will be on display. In addition, the premiere of the full-length documentary film "Escape from Uzedom" was held at the Mir cinema.
