From May 25 to June 3, the 15th Festival of theaters of small cities of Russia was held in Tobolsk. At the forum, 15 regional creative groups and theaters (350 participants) from Krasnoyarsk, Perm, Krasnodar, Nizhny Novgorod, Kemerovo, Samara, Lipetsk, and Tyumen regions, as well as from the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug-Ugra, the Republics of Udmurtia and Tatarstan played their best performances.
On the stage of the Tobolsk Drama Theater named after P. P. Ershov, the Almetyevsky Tatar State Drama Theater presented the play "Kibet" ("The Shop") by O. Zhanaidarov. Eduard Shakhov's statement about what can happen in the world, hidden from prying eyes, where the main character is deprived not only of the habitual way of life, but also of his name. "Kibet" ("Shop") is a performance that touches a lot of questions on modern social themes in the mind of the viewer.

At the festival of theaters of small towns, Almetyevsky Theater participates 4 times. And the second time it's getting better. In 2014, the play "Romeo and Juliet" by William Shakespeare in production by I. Sakayev became a Grand Prix winner in nomination "Best Performance of Big Form".
