On May 20, Bulgaria will host the opening of the VI Festival of Sacred Music "Music of Faith"

A concert with the participation of leading music groups of Tatarstan will be held on the territory of the Bulgarian Historical and Archaeological Complex. The concert begins at 9.00, admission is free.

Opening of the festival "Music of Faith" will be held traditionally on the holiday "Izge Bolgar uyeni", timed to the anniversary of the adoption of Islam by the Volga Bulgaria. The concert will be attended by well-known Tatarstan performers and groups, as well as young ones: instrumental ensemble "Miras", choral group of the State Song and Dance Ensemble of the Republic of Tatarstan, Alina Sharipzhanova, Marcel Vagizov, Ilyas Khalikov, Sirina Vakhitova, Sirina Zainetdinova, Ildar Rakhimov, Ilgiz Mukhutdinov And Aytugan Valmukhametov.

The program includes traditional music of Islam, Tatar folk songs, works by Rustem Yakhin, Aidar Fayzrakhmanov, Shamil Sharifullin, Masgood Shamsutdinova and others.

The Forum "Music of Faith" was created on the initiative and with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan in 2012 with the aim of reviving and popularizing the spiritual musical culture, uniting people of different faiths, familiarizing the wide circle of listeners with the treasures of the world music art, and also strengthening Tatarstan's image as a center Tolerance and peaceful coexistence of people of different nationalities and religions.

Concerts of the festival are traditionally held in the largest tourist and pilgrimage centers of Tatarstan - in ancient Bolgar, on the island of Sviyazhsk and in the Kazan Kremlin.

June 12 concerts will be held in the Museum of the History of Sviyazhsk (at 11.00) and the Cathedral of the Theotokos "All the Afflicted Joy" (at 12.00). The final concert of the festival will be held on June 27 at 7 pm at the Cannon Court of the Kazan Kremlin.
