Welcome to Sviyazhsk

State Historical, Architectural and Art Museum-Reserve "Island-Grad Sviyazhsk" invites May 1 to the opening of a tourist season. On this day two folklore groups "Krasnaya Gorka" (Rozhdestveskaya  Square from 12.00 to 15.00) and the "Matryoshki" ensemble (Uspenskaya Square from 11.00 to 14.00) will perform.

During the whole summer period, the objects of the museum-preserve will work without days off: the Museum of the History of Sviyazhsk, the Museum of the Civil War, the exhibition hall "The Old Water Tower" from 9.00 to 18.00 (Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu and Sun) and from 9.00 to 19.00 (Fri and Sat). The children's leisure center "Skazka" is open for visitors from 9.00 to 18.00 (Wed, Thurs and Sun) and from 9.00 to 19.00 (Fri and Sat).

In the new season a variety of programs have been prepared for the guests.

The All-Russian Youth Festival of Classical Music "Music Around Us" will be held on May 29-30.

May 27 - Night at the Museum.

June 1 - the family championship on  ladushki.

June 12 - Festival of "Music of Faith" at the Cathedral of the Icon of the Mother of God "Joy of All Who Sorrow".

July - August - the theatrical season. For two months in Sviyazhsk every weekend there will be performances.

August 19 is a great   arch  tournament where participants will compete in crossbow and bow shooting.

A pleasant surprise for visitors will be the opening of the Gennady Arkhireyev’s Museum and the art gallery of the museum-reserve.
