Tomorrow in Bolgar an international seminar "Monitoring World Heritage Sites: The Experience of the Russian Federation and CIS Countries" will be held.
The organizers of the major forum were: the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO, the International Committee for the Protection of Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS), the Russian Historical Society, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Republican Foundation for the Revival of Monuments of History and Culture of Republic Tatarstan, the Spassky Municipal District of the Republic of Tatarstan, the State Library of the Republic of Tatarstan "Bolgarian State Historical and Architectural Museum-Reserve".
At 10:00 the seminar will open a plenary session in the conference hall of the museum and exhibition complex "A commemorative sign in honor of the adoption of Islam by the Volga Bolgars in 922". Then the work of the seminar participants will be continued in a format of discussion panels:
Panel I - "Experience in monitoring UNESCO's cultural heritage sites and monuments of the provisional list of the countries of the Russian Federation, the CIS and foreign countries"
Panel II - "Monitoring the state of conservation of the Bulgarian historical and archaeological complex and other objects on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan"
Panel III - "Preparation for the inclusion of new sites in the UNESCO World Heritage List."
