National Geographic opens a photo exhibition in Kazan

Today, within the framework of the Year of Ecology in Russia, a photo exhibition "Wild Nature of Russia-2016"  has opened at  the "Hermitage-Kazan" Center.

All-Russian photo contest "Wild nature of Russia" is held by the magazine "National Geographic Russia" and the Russian Geographical Society since 2011. " Two hundred best works by  winners and laureates of last year from this day can be seen in the "Hermitage-Kazan" Center. The best  in 2016 were photographs in  nomination "Landscapes", "Underwater Photography" and "Young Talents." For example, the exhibition presents the work by  Murmansk photographer Sergei Korolev "Tulomsky fads" - a snapshot, which received the main prize in  nomination "Landscapes". The author  has  hunted for this picture  for three years.

As organizers inform, in the competition a resident   of Kazan - underwater photographer Andrey Kashin  took part.

Pictures of animals, birds, inhabitants of the underwater world, rare plants and natural landscapes reveal the diversity of nature, reflect the development of artistic photography and are aimed at drawing attention to the preservation of natural resources.

At the exhibition, which will run until June 5, will be organized tours, quests, master classes, photo studio, environmental lessons and flash mobs.
