Traditionally the work of the conference will take place in several directions:

The problems of studying, preserving, reconstructing and restoring the objects of the architectural heritage in a historical and cultural environment

Actual problems of architectural – restoration  education in Russia, Tatarstan and abroad

Problems of reconstruction of public spaces,  landscape-ecological aspects of the historical environment of cities and populated areas

The practical part of the conference will be presented in the framework of the project-educational seminar in a workshop format: "The historical and cultural environment of the city.

Reconstruction of public spaces of historical streets of Kazan ". The students and postgraduates will face a difficult task - to propose ways of regenerating historical streets by the example of street  Hadi Altlasi. This choice is not accidental: in view of the large number of problems from the once quiet street of the Academic settlement, it has become a parking lot for employees of nearby organizations, some valuable historical buildings have been lost. There were also unused wastelands, in the place of which soon multi-storey buildings of questionable architecture could appear. This problem is not unique and widespread in Kazan. How to adapt such historical corners to modern infrastructure, taking into account the interests of both local residents, investors and the public - the answers to these questions should be provided by the participants of the seminar. Together with the Kazan students, young specialists from Volgograd, Voronezh and Samara will work on the assigned task.

First  time  within  the initiative of KazSACU and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, the first International Scientific and Practical Conference "Cultural Heritage in the 21st Century: Preservation, Use, Promotion"  on the basis of the Department of Reconstruction, Restoration of Architectural Heritage and Architecture Basics  by correspondence the  Festival of Restoration Projects of Architectural Teachers Universities "Practice of Restoration of Russian Regions"   is held. Its goal is to get to know and identify the best examples of implemented projects that contribute to  preservation, use and promotion of cultural heritage sites in the regions of the Russian Federation.
