The music video "Tugan Urman" ("Native Forest") produced by the studio "Tatarmufilm" has been recognized as one of the best musical films of 2014-2016 according to the version of the XXII Open Russian Animated Film Festival.
In "shootings" of the clip, the main hero of the Tatar folk tale "Shurale" took part. Before the audience he appeared in the image of a young Shuralenok. In a three-minute animation, he performed a song about the love to his native forest. Azat Khusainov, Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan, member of the Union of Cinematographers of the Republic of Tatarstan, chief director of the Tatarfilm Studio, Sergey Kiatrov, laureate of the Tatar Song of the Year, multiple owner of the statuette "Golden Leopard", singer Leysan Zakirova took part in creating the animation work.
The competition for the best musical film was held on the eve of the XXII Open Russian Festival of Animated Cinema. For the right to be the best, amateurs and professionals from the CIS countries, Europe and America competed. More than 100 animation works were submitted to the jury.
"In competitive pictures, we evaluated the visualization of a musical work by means of animation in the form of a clip, as well as in the form of a plot or plotless film, where music is the basis of a dramaturgic action," the organizing committee of the contest noted.
Officially XXII Open Russian Animation Film Festival starts on March 15. In the main competitive program "Tatarmultfilm" will present the first Tatarstan full-length animated film "The Arrow of the Heritage". The show will take place on the final day of the show, when the main nominees for the victory in the main Russian animation festival will be presented.
