The deputies speak out for establishment of the Day of national clothing of the peoples of Tatarstan

November 15  a session  of the Committee on Education, Culture, Science, and national issues was held  at  which the deputies considered the issue of the preservation and popularization  of national costumes and a number of draft laws. The meeting was attended by Deputy Chairman of  RT State Council  Rimma Ratnikova.

 

The meeting began with a conversation about the relevance of the issue  of the national dress. Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee Razil Valeev noted that clothing is one of the main components of the national identity of the people. "The outstanding Tatar scientist-educator Shigabutdin Marjani put national costume on a par with a native language and folk customs that characterize a particular nationality, - said the parliamentarian. - In modern conditions, when the acute issues of preservation of material, cultural and moral character of the peoples, promotion of national costumes is of particular relevance. "

 

With information about the state of preservation and development of the Tatar national costume spoke  RT First Deputy Minister of Culture Elvira Kamalova and head of public organization "Ak kalfak" Kadiya  Idrisova, who noted that Tatarstan is constantly carries  out a number of activities in order to preserve and promote peoples' national clothes, living in the republic. They also shared their plans for further work in this direction.

 

In  discussion  took part    Deputy Chairman of  RT State Council Rimma Ratnikova, chairman committee Razil Valeev,  committee members Alexander Slavutskiy, Irek Sharipov, Irina Bakova  Academician Indus Tagirov, the Assembly of Peoples of Tatarstan  executive committee chief  Nikolai Vladimirov, who endorsed the idea of ​​establishing a the Day of national dress of the peoples living in Tatarstan.
