Farid Mukhametshin congratulated the winners of the festval "Uzgyaresh zhile"

On November 7, the Tatar State Opera and Ballet Theatre named after Musa Jalil  held  the  "Uzgyaresh zhile" ( "Wind of Change") award ceremony for the winners of the festival of Tatar songs. Awards for  Diploma holders were   handed over by  Chairman of Tatarstan State Council Farid Mukhametshin.

Thanking the organizers and participants of the festival,  head of Tatarstan parliament said that the idea of ​​the project belongs to the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who drew attention to the importance of raising the prestige of the Tatar songs, improving the quality of modern national stage at  present phase. "The song has always occupied  and occupies  a special place in the life of our people, - said Farid Mukhametshin, turning to the audience in the native language. - It is our companion in joy and sad moments, and at the festival. But in our time, in the early twenty-first century there is a need to raise the singing art of the Tatar people to a new level. Not limited to our  own inner Tatar world, to bring this national genre to the world level, so that other peoples, other nations listened Tatar song through it would  know our culture, our country. "

RT State Council Chairman expressed the hope that this year's festival - a successful attempt of the creative revival of the Tatar song art, which will grow into a new tradition in the cultural life of Tatarstan. "The main thing for us - not to lose the national identity and folk songs with their warmth, -  Farid Mukhametshin said. - It is necessary to maintain and develop the beginning of author’s  music and lyrics. "

According to Farid Mukhametshin, the festival will contribute to the development of the national culture of the Tatar people and the creative growth of a new generation of talented performers.

The ceremony was also attended by Tatarstan Minister of Culture Airat Sibagatullin, Deputy of RT State Council, Director of TSATOB  Raufal Mukhametzyanov, project managers.
