Yesterday, the composer and folklorist, Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan Kutdus Khusnullin received congratulations on the 75th anniversary. On behalf of the RT Ministry of Culture a hero of the day was congratulated by Head of Professional Arts of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Diliya Khairutdinova and handed badge of the Ministry "For achievements in culture."
Kutdus Mirzasalikhovich Khusnullin born October 27, 1941 in the village Tashlyyar of the Muslyumovsky district of Tatarstan. In 1962 he entered Musical college at conducting and choral department. Later, he continued his studies at the Kazan Conservatory in composition. At this time, he creates a number of chamber-instrumental, vocal and symphonic works. For thesis defense he has presented a ballet "Komesh dag" ( "Silver Horseshoe").
Further creative activity of the composer connects with the study of the Tatar folk art. For many years, he takes part in folklore expeditions both in the republic and far beyond its borders: first as senior laboratory assistant in art sector of Institute of Languages and Literature (IYALI) named after G. Ibragimov (1975 - 1984), then - head of the department of amateur artistic RNMTS of Tatarstan Ministry of Culture (1984 - 1991), and finally, since 1991 - as a director, and since 2002 - leading researcher employee of state center of Tatar folklore of the Ministry of culture. During this period he published a number of articles, produced radio and television programs on Tatar musical folklore ethnographic organized concerts of various ethno-regional groups of Tatars, scientific and practical conferences. K. Khusnullin is one of the organizers of the famous folklore festival "Uynagyz, garmunnar" having returned essentially to Tatar people almost forgotten folk instrument. The big event in the cultural life of Tatarstan became his book "Munajat and Bait" (2001), which represents more than 400 samples of old book of intoning by Muslim Tatars.
During his artistic career the composer and folklorist K.Husnullin has been awarded the title "Honored figure of arts" (2001).
