November 23, 2016, at 15.00 pm at the concert hall "Ekiyat" a large-scale festival dedicated to the publication of the first book "Hazine" about the traditions and customs of peoples living in Tatarstan. It will engage pupils and teachers of the Children's Art School №1, children's dance groups, music schools, students, the ensemble "Nezami" under direction of Dmitry Bikchentaev, artists of Tatar Youth Theater named G. Kariev and the invited guests.
In 2014, in Kazan with participation of Cultural Development Support Fund under the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Culture, Department of Culture of Kazan, the Republican Center of Traditional Culture and the Children's art school №1 started the project "Hazine", whose main aim was a reflection of the beauty of folk festivals, traditions, customs, tales and legends of the peoples living in Tatarstan, in the light of the child's perception. The result of the first phase of the project was the publication of the album of the best works by young artists (aged 10 to 15 years).
Publishing's uniqueness is not only that it has no analogues in the republic or in the country, but also in the fact that it is the children have managed finely and correctly in original stories and images to reflect originality and uniqueness of Tatar culture. During the project, the scholars of the Republican center of traditional culture organized lectures to familiarize children and teachers of art school №1 with the manners and customs of the Tatars, ethnic clothes, rural life, housing, and especially the national ornament. As a result of many years of cooperation – competent opening of the theme in children's works, a well-thought -out composition with skillful use of color and light, serious work on reproduction of the character of images. Interestingly that in publication presented works different techniques have been used - gouache, clay, dough, felt, application techniques, papier-mache, stained glass technics.
In the book, devoted to the rituals of Tatar culture, four major sections are distingwished, each of them begin with a detailed description of the customs and traditions:
I. Family and household ritualism: wedding ritual, a rite of birth.
II. Everyday culture of Tatars.
III. Calendar rites of Tatar national holidays.
IY. Tatar folk tales and legends.
The book will provide invaluable service to teachers and students not only at the lessons of the Tatar language and literature, history in secondary schools, easel and decorative composition, painting in the Children's Art School, but is useful for the study in the family.
The book "Hazine" may serve as a wonderful gift to visitors of capital as published in three languages: Russian, Tatar and English.
