Kamal Theatre opens the new 111th season

Opening of the new 111th season of the G. Kamal  Tatar State Academic Theatre  will be held on October 7, 2016. At the opening of the season in front of Kamal theater a festival will be held with the participation of artists and friends of the theater. At the celebration,  the  event "Hug Kamal Theatre" for the first time will be held, during which the fans of the Tatar theater, embracing hands, embrace the theater building. The program  of the event  includes  convert numbers, numerous competitions with draw of valuable prizes, a tour of the theater building, as well as a photo shoot with your favorite artists. At 19.00pm  the season traditionally    opened    the play "The Blue Shawl"  by K.Tinchurin.

In the new season, the spectators of  Kamal theater will see several premieres in a Large   and Small stage. On the Large stage a preference to be given  for classical and modern works by  Tatar writers. On the Small Stage Theatre   young directors and  modern playwrights  will   be   invited.

The new season will continue activities to mark an important date - the 110th anniversary of the  Kamal Tatar State Academic Theatre.  Commemorative activities  have  started in January 2016,  promotions and flash mobs were held. In the 111th season, the theater will continue to celebrate the anniversary of a whole set of activities: the exposition of the theater in galleries and exhibition halls of Kazan, the production of new audio CDs, and publications about the actors of the theater, staging the play-prom, edition of the  III volume of the  album "Tatar Theatre. 100 Years "and much more. Commemorative events will conclude the ceremony of December 22, 2016, the birthday of Tatar theater.

In the 111th season also will be events to mark the anniversaries of Honoured Artist of Russia, People's Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan and Daniya Nurullina  and  Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan Iltazar Mukhametgaliev.

Presently,  the theater's repertoire  has  for more than 25 productions by  Tatar, Russian and foreign classics and modern drama.

Theater tours extensively in Russia, near and far abroad and gaining great success with the audience of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Germany, Finland, Turkey, the UK, Colombia, Spain, China, Hungary and others.

Since 1998, the theater hosts the International Theatre Festival of Turkic peoples "Nauruz", since 2003 - Competition in the drama "New Tatar Play", since 2009 - All-Russian festival of young Tatar directing "Remeslo (Craft)", since 2010 - International Theatre and Education Forum "Nauruz".
