September 14-16, an International Forum will be held in Kazan titled "Saving humankind as an imperative for sustainable development", which will discuss issues of interpretation of the concept of a new humanism, saving mankind, problems of sustainable development of the society, worldwide universal value of cultural heritage, approaches to the definition of the concept of human security, as well as the ways and mechanisms of its maintenance.
These problems are largely due to the role of UNESCO, the birth of which was bound to the main idea of the "Thoughts about war begin in minds of humans that is why in minds of people the idea protect peace must be constructed." The idea of saving the people sounded in 2006 in the President's Message to the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. Since that time, saving people repeatedly was mentioned by the President of Russia as a priority for socio-economic development of the country.
The forum is scheduled to hold an international scientific-practical conference, as well as the meeting of the expert panel of high level with the participation of internationally renowned specialists in the field of human security.
Forum will bring together ambassadors of several countries under UNESCO, more than 40 high-level experts from France, Hungary, Spain, Azerbaijan, China, Poland, Kazakhstan and other countries, more than 200 representatives of the academic community of higher education institutions, academic institutes of Russia, the CIS countries, a number of foreign states , UNESCO Chairs, teachers of "UNESCO Associated schools" from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Chelyabinsk, Krasnodar, Samara, Voronezh, Kirov and others.
Upon completion of the work it is planned to consolidate the basic principles of humanitarian human security in the form of the final program document.
