Today a meeting on improvement of the embankment of the Volga River and the construction of a hotel complex in the Bulgarian museum-reserve at the Kazan Kremlin held

Today  a  meeting on improvement of the embankment of the Volga River and  construction of  the  hotel complex in the Bulgarian museum-reserve has been  held at the Kazan Kremlin.

The meeting   has been  conducted  by  State Counselor of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Republican Foundation " Vozrozhdeniye (Revival)" Mintimer Shaimiev.

He noted that work on the project on arrangement of the embankment of the Volga Bulgaria,   agreed with UNESCO, is being  continued and came to the second stage. The first phase of the work carried out on the territory of the waterfront from the Museum of the Bulgarian civilization to the Red Chamber, has been  completed by  May 21  this year. On this day, on the waterfront, a park of thematic exhibition of the Museum of the Bulgarian civilization opened, dedicated to the history of the Turkic-Tatar writing, which was  visited by President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

Executive Director of the "Vozrozhdeniye" of the Republican Fund, Deputy Chairman of RT State Council Tatyana Larionova told about the project of beautifying  the coastline of the Red Chamber to Gabdrakhman well, with a length of 534 meters.

The site is divided into three zones: a  game  zone, which is designed area for medieval games that were popular in the territory of Volga Bulgaria - alquerque, mill and chess. The second zone - walking, which is a pedestrian bridge with bicycle pass, which  will  carry out  meaningful and information function likewise. The third - a landscape improvement area, it is planned to create a square of  informative and historical  format, interesting for children. "All areas, including the already landscaped, combine a guided tour with audio information, there will also be the opportunity for individual excursions. Experience has shown that the embankment now enjoys great popularity among the visitors of Bulgaria ", - concluded Tatyana Larionova.

Director of the Archaeology Institute after  A.Khalikov of the RT Academy of Sciences Airat Sitdikov noted that all three areas are closely connected with the history of ancient Bulgarians. "The play area will be represented by the ancient games, later became the base for contemporary  games such as backgammon, checkers and chess. Judging by the fact that we  on  excavation works  find many painted chips -. The elements of the game, in the Middle Ages,  they were very popular Probably,  Bulgars played  them  not only in rooms, but also on the streets, drawing a field of play on the ground Chess pieces can be made on the basis of archaeological finds from the territory of Bulgaria related to the 13-14 centuries ", -. he said.

The meeting was attended by Tatarstan President's aide Natalya Fishman, Minister of Culture Airat Sibagatullin, Head of Spassky region Kamil Nugaev, CEO of Trust Company "Tatmelioratsiya"  Anwar Zalakov, Director of UCS "Atrium" Gulnara Mustafina and others.

Mintimer Shaimiev stressed that the most important thing in the work on improvement of the waterfront - practicality, durability and comfort, it is   also important providing  contents: unobtrusive, clear and expressive illustrations. "We agree with the concept as a whole, but we continue to think and work hard to find interesting, original parts of the history of Bulgaria", - he said.

Further, the general director of "Gran" Leonid Anisimov told about the progress of construction in Bolgar hotel "Kul Gali" with sauna complex - architectural analogue of the Bulgarian baths - the White Chamber of the XIV century. He said that the builders have already come to the stage of finishing work, it's time to consider some of the issues on the planning of the main approaches to the design of the hotel interiors.
