28 July - a memorable date of the Russian Federation - Day of the Baptism of Rus'

Dear people of Tatarstan!                                        

I sincerely congratulate you on the Day of the Baptism of Russia.

Millennium separates us from the fateful decision had an impact on the state, national, religious, general cultural development of our state. The Christian faith was the foundation for the formation of a new system of spiritual values, and formed the basis for building a strong, centralized Russian state.

Golden Fund of world culture and art masterpieces enlarged Orthodox church architecture, unsurpassed standards of music, painting and literature.

Today, the celebration of this memorable day is widely celebrated at the state level. The necessary conditions for the development and support of Orthodox culture in Tatarstan  are  created,  consistently restored the old and construction of new churches, reviving the tradition of spiritual education.
