In Naberezhnye Chelny Republican holiday of Slavonic culture Ivan Kupala celebrated

On the bank of the river Melekessky in Naberezhnye Chelny a Republican festival of Slavic culture  Ivan Kupala  held. This year's festival was held in the city  the 15th time. The event is traditionally organized by the House of Peoples' Friendship "Rodnik".

On the picturesque river bank  folk groups from Naberezhnye Chelny, Kazan, Tukayevsky, Zainsk, Almetyevsk Tatarstan and other regions  have gathered.

Congratulations the   gathered has been made by  Acting city ​​executive committee Vladislav Gavrilov, Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Guzel Sharipova.

The celebration   has  organized  an  exhibition and sale of products by  masters of arts and crafts. The tradition of the festival includes  active involvement of everyone present in all of the action, be it dance around birch or jumping through a flaming fire, purify water and lowering their  own woven wreaths on the water.

The program of the festival in the pageant  performed : "Vesnyanka" (Naberezhnye Chelny), "Kuderushki" (Kazan), "Sudarushka" (Tukayevsky  region ), "Divotsvit" (Naberezhnye Chelny), "Wolnica" (Naberezhnye Chelny), "Community" (Izhevsk) "Vodograi" (Bugul'ma) "Zabavushka" (Yelabuga) and others.

The main purpose of the holiday of Ivan Kupala was the solution to the problem of preservation and development of language culture, song heritage and national traditions of the Slavic peoples, customs revival, convergence and unity of different peoples and cultures.
