From June 20 to 29 the Yelabuga State Museum-Reserve holds the XI International Art Symposium on Contemporary Ar t "Elabuzhsky Ark" on "Sacredness of folk songs."
The aim of the event is a confirmation of interest in the cultural traditions of the people through the popularization of ethnic folklore in the paintings and drawings of contemporary Russian and foreign artists. Its themes include artistic interpretation of songs dedicated to the historical events, folk, epic songs, lullabies and folk songs.
The XI Art Symposium will bring together artists on Elabuga soil from 8 countries - Russia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, the Czech Republic and the Republic of Belarus. Artists traditionally visit the museum of the Yelabuga State Museum-Reserve, will make a walk in the National Park "Lower Kama". For them, there will be master classes on the printed schedule, linocut and woodcut on cardboard by Honored artist of Russia and Bashkortostan. Symposium participants will meet with the honored artist of Russia, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Arts I.V. Trofimova and secretary of the Board of the All-Russia creative public organization "Union of Artists of Russia", Chairman of the Commission on creative decorative art of the Moscow branch of the Union of Russian Artists, G.A Korzina.
The opening of the XI International Art Symposium will be held June 21 at 14 PM at the Exhibition Hall of Yelabuga State Museum-Reserve.
June 28 at 12:00 AM in the Exhibition Hall of the Museum-Reserve held the grand opening of the exhibition of works by participants of the XI International Symposium on contemporary art, the press service of EGMZ informs.
