Mintimer Shaimiev held field session in Bolgar

Today, State Councilor of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chairman of the National Fund Board of Trustees of "Vozrozhdeniye (Revival)" Mintimer Shaimiev has made a working trip to the Bolgar museum-reserve, in which, with the participation of Deputy RT Prime Minister Vasil Shayhraziev  held a  field session  on the projects being built with the assistance of "Revival" .

We  remind  that recently, on the orders by  the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov   Charter of "Revival" Foundation  was amended, which subject of activity of "Revival" Foundation, in addition to the restoration of historical monuments of Bolgar and Sviyazhsk, began the reconstruction of the Cathedral of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God and the construction of the Bulgarian Islamic Academy. April 29 this year  their projects  have been presented  to the Board of Trustees.

Today's meeting began just at the construction site of the Islamic Academy for the White Mosque, which turned the work on laying the foundation of the future building. Director General of contractor - Construction Group LLC "Gran" Leonid Anisimov  told  Mintimer Shaimiev  about the progress of construction works. The Executive Director of the Foundation "Revival", Deputy of RT State Council Tatyana Larionova, and Minister of Culture Airat Sibagatullin reported on the preparation for the annual traditional solemn meeting of Muslims - "Izge Bulgarians zhyeny", which will be held this year on May 21 the day of the official adoption of Islam by Volga Bulgaria in 922. As part of the "Bolgar Izge zhyeny" with the participation of leaders of the republic, the Muslim leaders of centralized religious organizations in Russia, the clergy and members of the public will be given start of major works on the construction of the Bulgarian Academy of Islam. Today, some organizational issues for the ceremony were discussed.

Next meeting continued at the construction site of the hotel "Kul Gali" with sauna complex, created on the model of the White Chamber - the historical building of the XIV century. Currently, a building frame is constructed. The participants walked through the floors of the building and admired  the stunning views of the River Volga, which is open to future guests of the complex "Kul Gali". Construction is held  by  " Gran" with the suggestions of representatives of the management company «Korston Group», which are present on the site since the beginning of construction. The complex is planned to be built by summer 2017.

RT State Counselor and his entourage also visited the Volga river embankment, where next to the River Station and the Museum of the Bulgarian civilization will unfold in the open air exhibition on the history of Turkic-Tatar writing. Director of the   RT Institute of Archaeology after A.Khalikov   A. Sitdikov  showed  Mintimer Shaimiev  what they had  managed to do for the Exposition.

Here on the waterfront resumed work on the improvement and creation of the park and the so-called "Khan's path" - a walkway leading to the historic part of the Bulgarian fortress - the Khan Palace. Works are conducted   by  LLC "Construction company" Atrium "with the assistance of the RT State Council deputy general director of LLC" Alekseevskdorstroy "Foat Valiev.

Mintimer Shaimiev said that at present all the new sites in Bolgar are under construction in coordination with the UNESCO World Heritage Committee  behind  the historical wall of the  Bulgarian historical and archaeological complex.
