The National Gallery of Art "Khazine" to host opening of a personal exhibition by People's Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan Victor Arshinov

December 11, 2015,  at 16.00,   the National Gallery of Art "Khazine" will   host   the  opening of a personal exhibition of Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan, People's Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan,  a laureate    G. Tukai State  Award   Victor Arshinov  "Graphics. Painting".

Victor P. Arshinov was born in 1945 in Gdansk. He graduated from the Moscow Regional Art School in 1905 (1963-1970). He worked as an artist-designer of the Kazan plant trade advertising (1970-1974), the Art Fund (1974-1976). Since 1976, for many years was a member of the Board of RT Union of artists,   executive secretary of the Union of Artists of Tatarstan,  headed by RT UA graphics section. Since 2013, he  heads  OVTOO "Union of Russian Artists" in Tatarstan.

Victor Arshinov - one of the brightest artists in contemporary  art of Tatarstan. He is characterized by freedom of command over the line, space and color. The symbolism and metaphor, allegory and parable harmoniously are  connected with a realistic artistic language of the master.  Arshinov’s creativity is  different by  an extraordinary versatility. He created works in book and magazine graphics, genres of  poster and easel, painting, sculpture, theater and decorative art. The artist's works have  significant  works having  shaped his personality and style, "Montazhniki (Installers)", "Kamazovka", "Requiem. 1924 "and others. The highest magnitude of the master  appears in monumental graphic series, consisting of tens or hundreds of sheets. Among the works that are accessed by the artist - the masterpieces of foreign literature (A. Dante, T.S. Eliot), Russian poetry and Tatar literature. His works exclude direct illustration of a particular work of literature. First of all, associative reading, incorporates the spiritual space of the literary source.

 In 2003, V. Arshinov completed a series of "In Memory of Marina Tsvetaeva", consisting of a hundred sheets. On the 100th anniversary of Musa Jalil (2006), the artist prepared  a series of graphic works dedicated to the poet-hero of "The Last Song." Inspired by the poetry of Bella Akhmadulina    he produced a series of graphic works "Hurdy-gurdy of child's soul."   The Tukai topic became one of the central of Arshinov’s works. The series "Reading Tukai", created over several years (2005-2011), reflects the deeply personal interpretation of the artist's poetry, a reformer Tatar language.

The penetration into the spirit of the great poet, expression, novelty distinguish series of master s and demonstrate a full depth of talent and inspiration of the artist.

The exhibition runs until   January 12, 2016.
