In Moscow, the secretariat of Theatre Union of Russia has determined the first laureates of the Russian National Theatre Award "The Golden Mask - 2016". Prize in a nomination "For outstanding contribution to the development of theater art" the actor of G. Kamal People's Artist of Russia and Tatarstan Rinat Arifzyanovich Tazetdinov has been honored.
A special prize "Golden Mask" also was awarded the art director of the State Academic of Maly Theatre of Russia Yuri Solomin, artistic director of the St. Petersburg Maly Drama Theater Lev Dodin, artistic director of the St. Petersburg State Academic Ballet Theatre Boris Eifman, and others.
We remind that this is the second "mentioning" of Kamal theatre by award "Golden Mask - 2016". Earlier it was reported that the performance of "My Name is Red" entered the long list of prestigious awards.

Russian National Theatre Award "Golden Mask" was established in 1993 by the Union of theatrical figures of the Russian Federation, and awarded productions in all genres of theater art: drama, opera, ballet, modern dance, operetta and musical, puppet theater.

Rinat Arifzyanovich Tazetdinov was born in the village of Malaya Tsilna of the Drozhzhanovsky District of Tatarstan, January 1, 1938. In 1961 he graduated from the Higher Theatre School after M.Schepkina in Moscow and was admitted to the Tatar Academic Theatre named Kamal. From 1989 to 2010 - Chairman of the Union of theatrical figures of Tatarstan.
Laureate of the G. Tukai RT State Award (1967), People's Artist of Tatarstan and Russia (1973 and 1982), a laureate of the State Prize of the USSR (1986), a laureate of the M. Salimzhanov Award (2015).
