Composers' Union of the Republic of Tatarstan became a member of the famous composer and prestigious international organization - the Asian Composers League

From November 6 to 11, 2015, in Manila (Philippines), International Festival of the Asian Composers League (ACL)   took place. Today at the General Assembly of  ACL, an official presentation of the Union of Composers of Tatarstan was held, the session of the commission, where a decision has been   taken up  on joining the Union of Composers of Tatarstan in a status of an independent country as a member of ACL.

Asian Composers' League was founded in 1973 by leading composers from Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong and Korea. This is the most significant and influential musical organization in the Asia-Pacific region. Its members are 12 Asian countries - Australia, Hong Kong, Israel, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey. Its main objectives are the promotion, preservation and development of the musical cultures of the Asia-Pacific region, especially in the field of musical composition.

Today the Composers' Union of the Republic of Tatarstan  - one of the largest and influential composer’s organization  in Russia: the third after Moscow and St. Petersburg, in number and creativity. It consists of leading musicians, teachers, masters. Tatar music is an integral part of modern European musical process.

One of the main directions in the work of the Union of Composers of the Republic is an international activity.

Since 1999, the Union of Composers of the Republic of Tatarstan in Russia, has  become the first member of the International Association of Contemporary Music  ISCM (headquartered in Amsterdam) and a member of the largest annual international festival "World Music Days". It   is an evidence of the high prestige of the  school of composers  of our republic.
