November 7, 2015, at the Kamal Theater the first prize in the Republican field of theatrical art named after Marcel Salimzhanov to be awarded. The award was established by the decree of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The prize is awarded for significant contribution to development of professional theatrical art of the Republic of Tatarstan, creative collectives and workers. The prize is awarded to three winners once every 2 years. Each award includes a special award, a certificate and a cash prize of 200 thousand rubles.
The competition jury includes prominent figures of culture of Tatarstan. The commission chairman is the Minister of Culture of Tatarstan A.M. Sibagatullin.
A solemn ceremony of awarding M.Salimzhanov prizes will be held at the Grand Theatre stageafter Kamal on November 7 prior to the play " Gergeri sons-in-law" (production by M.Salimzhanov). Traditionally, November 7, the birthday of Marcel Salimzhanov, inside the Kamal theatre, the premiere of a new play is held. In 2015, it will be a children's story "The goat, sheep and others" on play by Ilgiz Zayniev on the small stage. The directors of performance - Ildus Gabdrakhmanov and Salim Aminov.

Marseille Khakimovich Salimjanov born November 7, 1934 in Kazan, in a family of actors Hakim Salimzhanov ans Galiya Nigmatullina. After school, he entered the Law Faculty of Kazan State University named after V.I. Ulyanov-Lenin, but left the final year and continued his education at the GITIS directing department name after A.V. Lunacharsky in Moscow.
After graduating from GITIS, in 1962 he became director of the Kazan Youth Theater. Since 1966 works as chief director of the Tatar Academic Theatre named after G. Kamal, and also teaches at the School of Theater and Kazan Academy of Culture and Arts (professor since 1992).
M.Salimzhanov staged 88 plays of the national drama, domestic and foreign classics, having included in the golden fund of the Tatar Academic Kamal Theater.
M.H. Salimjanov died March 26, 2002. Buried in the Tatar cemetery in Novo-Kazan Tatar settlement.
