Today the historic city center of Tchistopol has been viewed by President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. He was accompanied by chief of Staff of the President of the Republic of Tatartsan Asgat Safarov, aid to the RT President Olesya Baltusova, aid to the RT President Natalia Fishman, head of Chistopol municipal rayon of Tatarstan, Dmitry Ivanov, RT minister of culture Ayrat Sibagatullin, chairman of the state Committee for tourism of Tatarstan Sergei Ivanov and others.
We remind that Tchistopol enjoys the status of historical settlement of federal significance. Within the framework of the competition "Large investments in small towns", established by the World Development Bank, the city has won 50 million dollars. In 2016, at the expense of these funds designing a full range of repair and restoration work in the historic Tchistopol will be held , and in 2017 restoration works are to be held.
The first object, visited by the President of Tatarstan, was the estate of the merchant Chukashev. The building was built in the first half of the XIX century, and is the object of cultural heritage of national importance. After the 1917 revolution, at various times, it housed the county committee of the Board of Tchistopol, Council of Workers, Peasants and Red Army Deputies, agricultural school, a teacher training college and evacuated during the Great Patriotic War, the Second Moscow Watch Factory.
Rustam Minnikhanov informed that it is planned to create a museum of the history of the city. The exposition will represent different epochs, to acquaint with the history of the region, economic development, culture and activities of famous people throughout the history of the city.
Next, the President of Tatarstan visited the estate merchant Podurueva. The museum building was built in 1896. From the late 20s, last century, it housed the city archives. In 1980 the archive was transferred, and the object was handed over to the Museum of the county town. In 2014, it was renamed the Museum of the City.
In the future it is planned to open a museum of merchant life "Manor of merchant Poduruev." Historians will restore the atmosphere of the XIX century merchant's house, visitors learn about Tchistopol merchant dynasty, their activities in the city.
Also, Rustam Minnikhanov and other participants visited the renewed Skaryatinsky garden and Alley of Heroes of the Soviet Union. Head of Tchistopol municipal rayon Dmitry Ivanov said that against the background of large-scale work on the improvement of the town, the flow of tourists has grown. A year ago, to the town was visited by 6 ships, then to the end of the season this number will increase by more than 10 times. The number of tourists has increased, head of the rayon mentioned: in the 2014, Tchistopol visited 24 thousand people, and this year the number will increase to 38 thousand.
The last object in the program was the visiting Boris Pasternak Memorial Museum - the house in which the writer lived from 1941 to 1943.
The museum was opened in 1990
In 2010, in connection with relocating residents, the whole of building was given to the museum. The two-storey building with offices and a wooden gate is located on the red line of the building of the street. The monument is made of residential architecture in the eclectic style of the classic direction.
The building will have a new exhibition devoted to the life and work of Boris Pasternak with a focus on Tchistopol period.
After the viewing Rustam Minnikhanov instructed to pay special attention to the construction of new facilities in the town center. From today all the projects on building the historic part of Chistopol be brought before a special commission, headed by the President of Tatarstan. This practice is used for several years in the capital of Tatarstan.
Rustam Minnikhanov also instructed the design institute "Tatinvestgrazhdanproekt" to develop a project plan within the boundaries of the historic part of Tchistopol.
Also, the presidential aide Olesya Baltusova raised the issue of conservation resettled dilapidated houses - cultural heritage and environmental, as there is a risk of recurrence of town planning mistakes made in Kazan with the liquidation of dilapidated housing. Rustam Minnikhanov instructed the Ministry of Culture and the State Housing Fund under the President of Tatarstan a to consider by commission each case.
One of the most painful issues for the town are the old engineering networks, construction of which dates back to the beginning of the twentieth century. Ministry of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan was instructed to make an inventory and to consider funding the repair of communication lines.
