Today, October 22, 2015, at the Kazan Art School named after N.I. Feshin the Roundtable "Teaching painting and composition" due to be held. Beginning at 11.00.
The round table, which will be held in the framework of the Interregional Scientific and Practical Conference "Secondary art education: traditions and innovations" provides an opportunity to get acquainted with the current state and characteristics of secondary art education, innovative teaching methods and exchange experience. The conference will be attended by heads and leading specialists of art schools of the Volga Federal District.
15.00 The National Art Gallery "Hazine" will open a retrospective exhibition of works by professors and graduates of the Kazan Art School, dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the Kazan Art School named after N. I. Feshin.
The exhibition will feature paintings, made between the end of XIX century to the beginning of the XXI century. The works will allow to trace the development of Russian art education, starting from the works by the founders of the Art School, to the works by contemporary fine arts.
16:00 - Presentation of the book by V.M. Korneeva "My family ... N.N.Belkovich" (National Gallery of Art "Hazine").
Vera Mikhailovna Korneeva - granddaughter of one of the founders of the Kazan Art School and its first director N.N. Belkovich - will arrive in Kazan, to present her book. She tells in it the story of a family Belkovich about N.I. Feshin and his wife Alexandra Feshina, daughter of N.N. Belkovich and family drama. The book says about the difficult fate of the older generations of the family Belkovichs, provides interesting facts from their lives. The book contains a large number of photos and documents published for the first time.

In 2015, the Kazan Art School named after N.I. Feshin celebrates its 120th anniversary. Kazan Art School, Imperial Academy of Arts (so initially art school called) was opened in 1895. Throughout its existence, the Kazan school was and still is the center of arts education in the Volga region.
For 120 years, at the Kazan Art School after N.I. Feshin taught talented pedagogues - artists, whose works formed the core of Fine Arts of Tatarstan. Creative artists such as S.S. Akhun, V.I. Kudelkin, E.V. Zuev, R.A. Tukhvatullin, A.I. Tumashev, V.K. Fedorov, H.H. Khaydarov, T.A. Yudin, M.A. Vagapov, A.G. Khamidullin, A.M. Minulina and many others. This was a determining factor in the development of the traditions of the oldest art schools in the country. Their works and contribution to the school is the focus of this exhibition. It presents the works made in the period from the end of XIX century to the beginning of the XXI century. These works will enable to trace the history of development of Russian art education, starting with the work of the founders of the art school to the work of masters of contemporary fine arts.
