Opening of the International Museum Forum

September 8, 2015, the International Museum Forum "The mission of the museum in a multicultural world," dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the National Museum of Tatarstab has began its work. Forum participants were welcomed by Adviser to the President of ICOM Russia Vladimir Tolstoy: "We are delighted to welcome one of the largest museum events in Russia. Museums today are in a center of   public eye, we have something to discuss together with the Russia museum workers and share with our foreign counterparts. "

Also,  the opening was attended by Mikhail Bryzgalov, director of the Department of Cultural Heritage, Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, President of the Association of music museums and collections; Ayrat Sibagatullin, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan; Gulchachak Nazipova, CEO of the National Museum of Tatarstan from foreign colleagues Julia Pagel, secretary general of the Alliance of European museum organizations (NEMO); Michael Henker,  President of ICOM Germany; Bjorn Stenvers, Marketing Director of the Museum of History and the Museum of Amsterdam Geelvick-Hinlopen and many others.

The forum will discuss issues related to the conservation and protection of historical-cultural and natural heritage, development and promotion, IT-technologies in museums, museums of resources in the development of cultural tourism, etc.

During the days of  forum  discussion   platforms, conferences and various seminars will be  held. The cultural program includes acquaintance with exposition of the National Museum of Tatarstan, the house-museum of V.I .Lenin Museum of E.A.Boratynsky, Museum - Educational Center. LN Tolstoy; visit the State Historical and Architectural Museum-Reserve "Kazan Kremlin" State Historical and Architectural Museum "The Island-town  Sviyazhsk", the Bolgarian historical and architectural museum-reserve and much more.
