From September 4 to 6, 2015, Kazan holds VII International Festival of amateur and youth film

From   September 4 to 6, 2015,  the  part of the XI Kazan International Muslim Film Festival,  holds   VII Kazan international festival of amateur and youth film.

Festival organizers are the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, Kazan State University of Culture and Arts and Production Centre "Iman film."

The festival is held with the support of the Directorate of the Kazan International Muslim Film Festival, Support Fund for Contemporary Art of the Republic of Tatarstan "Living City" and regional youth public organization "Students League of the Republic of Tatarstan".

During its existence, the festival has become a platform for communication  between cinema  beginners  - video enthusiasts and    their  creative developments. The festival contributes to popularization of the art of cinematography among young people and children from different countries and enhancement of  spiritual, intellectual and cultural potential of young people through the introduction to the art of cinematography.

 The festival   has received about 100 works from all over Russia. The contest will be held in 5 categories: feature film, documentary, animation, video clip, and  children's project. Winners will be awarded  diplomas and prizes from sponsors. The main prize of the festival - a unique opportunity to shoot  a debut film with government support.

The festival will  held master classes: Dmitry Yashonkov - Russian cameraman; Darya Gladysheva - editor, head of the Regional Development Centre of Youth Union of Cinematographers of Russia, curator of educations  curricula  of cinema school  named after  MacGuffin;  Fedor Druzin - managing director of  «curb denizen productions», producer, director, member of the producer pitching festival "Kinotavr - 2013".

The highlight of this year's festival will be "Pitching in Kazan" - a modern form of presentation of the film project with the aim of finding investors willing to fund the project. Kazan stage is the stage of regional Foresight Forum of Young Filmmakers "KINOKHAKATON", the winners of which will be able to get to the final short-list of pitching in Yekaterinburg in December this year. Pitching   is to be held  by  Maria Yablokova (Ekaterinburg) - organizer of the Forum of Young Filmmakers "Kinokhakaton", Commercial Director of «Film School Sverdlovsk Film Studios», organizer of the All-Russian festival of cinema and Internet projects "Man of Labor."

 Pitching will be attended by regional producers, distributors and investors.  Their arrival  confirmed l  Arkhangelsk guests Anatoly Konychev - producer of short feature and documentary films, a member of the Academy of the Barents Region,  head of the Arkhangelsk branch of the youth center and the Russian Cinematographers' Union Nikita Skornyakov - investor and producer.
