Honorary guests of the event visited the bookstore  of  the Tatar publishing house, saw the exhibition dedicated to the life and work of the famous Tatar poet Musa Jalil (appositely, there are  original table of the poet and  bookcase). Then the guests passed to  a historical hall  of the  Tukai  Writers' Club.  The hall with a bas-relief G. Tukai at  entrance  is located in a historical part of the complex, a rich stucco in a hall  had been  restored by restorers per  archives and scripts.

Today, in this hall,  Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan  Fanis Ziganshin   has read out   a poem "Shagyyr"  by  G. Tukai.

"The building,   as before,   has become beautiful one, a bookstore opened,   videlicet, this hall. In a short time we have  managed to put in order the building, and after all,  restoration  is   a difficult process. I would like  here  the spirit of our famous countrymen whom  we should remember preserved. The republic has done a lot for the revival  of  our historical identity,"-  Rustam Minnikhanov said. He noted that the building - an important monument of cultural heritage, and thanked a team which was engaged in its restoration: architects, restorers, historians. "Musa Jalil and  Gabdulla Tukai glorified Tatar people, and we must always remember that their history - our history," -  Rustam Minnikhanov said.

The director of the hotel "Nogai " Vitaly Bolshakov noted that thanks to the work of architects, builders and restorers,   the building    has received a second life.

Later, talking to journalists V.Bolshakov said that the hotel complex spent 1.2 bln. rubles. According to him, it is expected that the funds  to  be repaid within 14 years. "To build on a new place is much cheaper, than to restore. The building  was  destroying, floors of the building above the 1st floor were made of wood, the roof leaked, the walls inside were almost without plaster,  window frames  were reinforced - told V.Bolshakov. -  Now   we have operating  cellars, one of which is a restaurant."

The hotel complex  enjoys  167  rooms from economy to business class.  The  complex has a gym and two restaurants, two conference rooms and a meeting room, a multi-level parking for 270 places. "We have an office block - over 1000 sq.m. Some will be leased, from 700 to 950 rubles per square meter ", -  V.Bolshakov added.

Restoration   has been carried out by specialists of the Institute "Tatinvestgrazhdanproekt" led  by  the authors of the restoration project  Svetlana  Mamleeva    and Guzel Iskhakova, the works were  carried out   by OOO "Pervoye stroitelnoye upravlenie". Restoration of the interiors, stucco  were made by Kazan restorers under the direction of Elena Shilova. While  restoration,   the facade of the Printing  House,   space planning decisions, grand staircase of the building,  construction of window frames, stairs of marble chips, rare ceramic  metlahskoy  tile  characteristic of the early 20th century have been preserved.

The name of the hotel complex is connected with the medieval history of the region. In the days of the Khanate of Kazan residents had close trade and political contacts with a mighty  steppe power  - the Nogai Horde. Next to the building, which today is a hotel complex, was Nogai  tract whereby the caravans loaded with goods came to Kazan.

Parking was called "Barabus." Before the revolution on the place  called  "Nogai"  there was a stand of  winter transport. Cab drivers who ran  sledges, said their  clients "barabyz!" (From the Tatar - "let's go!"), And gradually this exclamation   turned into  the name,  at the time,  very rapid and inexpensive means of transportation.
