The National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan on May 27 near the monument to Lobachevsky holds a cultural and educational event "Library in the Park"

The National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan, May 27, 2015 near the monument to Lobachevsky holds a cultural and educational event "Library in the Park", dedicated to  the Day of the All-Russia  libraries in the framework of the Year of Literature in Russia and the Year of parks and gardens in the Republic of Tatarstan in order to attract public attention to literature and reading,  and the creation of favorable conditions for the population.

The program - a meeting with workers of culture, literature and art, the exhibition of documents from the library, a tour of the main building, quizzes, competitions, adventure and much more.

The event runs from 9:30 to 14pm.

All-Russia Library Day - a professional holiday of workers of Russian libraries - celebrated annually in different subjects of the country on   May   27, 1995, to the date of signing of the Presidential Decree    by B.N.  Yeltsin. The Government of the Russian Federation, executive bodies of subjects of the Russian Federation and local governments were encouraged to hold  measures  on the Day of libraries  aimed  at increasing the role of books in  socio-political, historical and cultural life of the population of the Russian Federation.
