May 24, the Day of Slavic Literature and Culture was celebrated in cities across Russia and other Slavic countries. Exactly at noon solemn performances have started. A festive concert was held in the heart of the capital of Tatarstan, Kazan Kremlin. It was a large-scale action, represented as a united all- Russia concert.
Among the participants there were the State Chamber Choir of the Republic of Tatartsan conducted by Milyausha Tamindarovoy, the orchestra of Kazan Higher Military Command School, conducted by Ian Orekhov, the Chamber Orchestra "New Music" conducted by Anna Gulishambarova, the choir of the State Song and Dance Ensemble under the direction of Niyaz Garayev, children's and student choirs.
The leading choirs and orchestras performed Tatarstan popular Russian composers from the classical Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Mikhail Glinka to Soviet Arkady Ostrovsky, Yuri Entin, Alexandra Pakhmutova and many others. New colors performed by Tatarstan collectives have acquired such a familiar and loved by all compositions, as "Prekrasnoyt dalyoko", "May there always be sunshine", "Motherland", "I look at the blue lake" and, of course, the "Victory Day".
This concert has once again reminded us all of the merit by the brothers Cyril and Methodius, through which all the participants of the event once again have been able to admire the beauty and sonority of the great and mighty Russian language, the inimitable charm of poems and songs of the Slavic peoples, the press service of the Museum-Reserve "Kazan Kremlin informs".
