"Night of Museums" at the Yelabuga State Museum-Reserve

At  night of May  16 – 17, the  Yelabuga State Museum-Reserve held one of the biggest events - "Night of Museums". All  the  programs of   YESMR  museums this year corresponded to the subject of celebrating,  the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

Late night  the visitors were expected  at  the Museum of Ivan Shishkin, the Museum-Estate of N.A.Durova, the  Literary Museum  of  M.I. Tsvetaeva, the Library of the Silver Age, the Museum "Portomoynya",  the Uyezdny   Museum of Medicine. of  V.M.  Bekhterev,  the  Museum-workshop of arts and crafts, the Museum-theater "Traktir", as well as  at  the Museum of history of the city, together with interactive workshops. As part of the interactive programs,  the guests were invited to perform exciting jobs - fasten foot rags, recall front-line songs, to assemble and disassemble the rifle and taste a frontline porridge.

Only this night  Yelabuzhaners  and guests can look into the heart of the Museum-Reserve - Storage Facility, where on ordinary days unauthorized entry is prohibited. Scientific staff of the unit prepared an interesting program with unusual characters, as well as an exhibition of photographs of the Great Patriotic War.

Up to  night  01.am,  the doors  were  unlocked  of the recently opened  the Museum of Memory, where guests were offered an unusual  audio-guide for the exhibition.  The  Exhibition Hall worked , where visitors could see the exhibition of front-line drawings  by  the artist Haris Yakupov.

Participants  of the  night tour of museums were not scared even  by  the rain and the cold snap, because many of them have especially come to our city for  the "Night of Museums". Rooms are not emptied until the end of the action.

Total Objects Museum Reserve on  the day and night have been visited by  9080 people,  from 9 to 18pm   - 5117, and from  18.00pm  to  the morning 01.am  - 3963 people.
