May 26 the IV Music Festival Marathon "Sounding House of Sofia" at the Center for Contemporary Music named after S.Gubaydulina to be held.

Traditionally, the concerts of the festival - marathon are held in Kazan, as well as in the cities of Almetyevsk, Tchistopol and at home of Sofia Asgatovna village Bayryaka of the Yutazinsky region.

May 26, at 17.00, at the Center for S.Gubaydulina, Thalmann street, 29 (3rd floor) presentation of the water colors exhibition by Kazan painter Lyubov Gritsenko takes place.

At 18.00, in a courtyard of the Center, a Music Marathon OPEN-air with participation of Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble, Kazan groups and the Chamber Orchestra "New Music" of the S. Gubaydulina Center under the direction of Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan Anna Gulishambarova commences.

An interesting program to be presented by soloists of the Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble. Many compositions of Russian and foreign composers of avant-garde in Kazan to be performed for the first time. Also, for the first time at the Festival - one of the most famous in Russia and Germany, avant-garde singer - Natalia Pshenichnikova, features works by Sofia Gubaidulina, Giacinto Scelsi (Italy) and John Adams (USA).

Choir of the Kazan Music College ( conducted by Dina Venediktova) and the string ensemble "Inspiration" (conducted by People's Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan Lucia Ismagilova) will feature the premiere of the Kazan composer Lilia Tagirova.

The new program will perform Chamber Orchestra "New Music" of the S.Gubaydulina Center. They feature works by S.Gubaydulina, K.Penderetsky , K.Dzhenkins, and premiere of the young composer, head of the creative laboratory of the Center Alsu Sungatullina.

At the end of the program the orchestra "New Music" and the Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble will perform a joint "P.S" by famous Russian-German composer Dmitry Kurland, the press service of the Center for Contemporary Music after S.Gubaydulina informs.
