Rustam Minnikhanov made walk-downs of the streets in a historical center of Kazan

The walk-downs of the streets in a historic center of Kazan has been made by Acting President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. The purpose of inspecting improvement of the central city of the tourist route, with a focus on the condition of sightseeing. Rustam Minnikhanov was accompanied by Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Asgat Safarov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, Aid to the RT President Olesya Baltusova, Aid to the President of Tatarstan Natalia Fishman, Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of Tatarstan Irek Faizullin, Minister of Culture Airat Sibagatullin, representatives of the republican ministries and offices.

The first item was the building of visitation was the Bacteriological Institute, built in 1898 by architect Leo Khrschonovich. Here, in due time, worked famous biologists, in particular, N. F. Vysotsky and V.M. Aristovskaya. Today the building is the Kazan Scientific - Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology. Director of the institution Rustam Fasakhov reported that the historic property currently is in a satisfactory condition: works are under way on major repair and replacement of utilities. Rustam Minnikhanov instructed not to reduce the momentum and tidy facades.

Also, Acting President of Tatarstan visited the building of the RT Union of Artists, built back in 1961. According to the director of the RT State Museum of Fine Arts Rosalia Nurgaleeva an object needs urgent repairs: the roof needs to be replaced, adjust heating and ventilation systems, to carry out work on the improvement of the facade. Also, the museum is going to master a two-story building from a Khudfond courtyard, and develop intra-domestic space for creative projects. All this takes about 80 mln. rubles. Rustam Minnikhanov instructed to take the object to control and said that the bulk of the expenditures would be taken by the republican budget.

Then Rustam Minnikhanov acquainted with the project of improvement of land plot at the intersection of the Bolshaya Krasnaya - Zhukovsky. Here, the KGASU students offered to lay out a square with cafes and placards to memory of Kazan artist and art critic Pyotr Dulsky, who lived and worked nearby. Acting President of Tatarstan instructed to consider all options for improvement of the area.

Another Square entrusted to landscape and open next to the to Venetsianov’s house, on Bolshaya Krasnaya street 35, which is on restoration and refers to the Kazan Conservatory. Here also the option of installing a monument to the Tatar composer Rustem Yakhin was considered. Acting President of Tatarstan welcomed this initiative.

The next item of visiting a wooden architecture - the house of Varvara Druzhinina. Built in 1911, the facility has experienced four fires and not just passed from one owner to another. Today, in reviving the monument a group of experts led by Boris Lurie has been engaged. After reshuffling log hut, it already gave a sit, the original window and door pillars have been prepared. In late summer, work on the outside landscaping is scheduled for completion. Rustam Minnikhanov visited the premises and discussed the future course of restoration work.

On Karl Marx Street, the participants of inspection examined another half stone -half-timbered monument - House Drotaevsky. Rustam Minnikhanov revealed details of ornamentation and wooden windows, which would be mounted in the near future. After completion of the work it is planned to open a school of young architect in collaboration with Kazan State Architecture Building University.

To study the issue to expand the territory of the State Museum of Fine Arts of Tatarstan - This instruction was given today, by Rustam Minnikhanov, to RT Ministry of Culture in collaboration with the executive committee of Kazan. According to the Aid to the RT President Olesya Baltusova, during the summer festivals and other cultural events Fine Arts Museum is visited by large numbers of people. But carrying out these activities is hampered by the lack of space. Acting President of Tatarstan instructed to consider the option of development of the territory adjacent to the museum, with the possibility of building additional housing.

Then Rustam Minnikhanov visited the building of the Kazan Art School named after N.I. Feshin. The object is the creation y architect Karl Myufke. But inside, the building needs major renovation. Acting President of the Republic of Tajikistan visited all school premises, and then instructed to conduct a survey of the monument to begin the first phase of restoration work.

The next item of examining was Lyadsky garden. Aid of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Natalia Fishman acquainted Rustam Minnikhanov with the project of development of the green zone. She recalled that earlier there was a fountain, the site of which is now turned into a large flower bed. Investor of the Park comes out Bank of Kazan. Together with a representative of the investor N.Fishman voiced a concept of the garden - again start at this place a fountain, to reconstruct children's playground, as well as to build on the adjacent territory to the House of actor outdoor veranda with a stage. Rustam Minnikhanov has approved the proposal and noted a high potential of this old park in the heart of the city.

At the end of seeing Rustam Minnikhanov said that prior to the World Championships in Aquatics, a historical center of Kazan is necessary to put in order. This is the main tourist route, he said, so the need to equip the sidewalks, take away advertising boards from the facades of monuments, and to consider the development of the central cycle route.
