The main objective of the series "Art and War" is a demonstration of how artistic practices exist and are transformed in a global and local armed conflicts. In the framework of cycle, the speakers will talk about the development of Russian avant-garde, Dada and Futurism during World War II, the calamities of war in the works of Soviet and Western artists of 1950-60-ies, as well as on how night vision devices, biological weapons, and ultrasound and other strategic direction of military affairs fall into the territory of contemporary art XX-XXI centuries.
