A solemn event dedicated to the 5th anniversary of the National Fund for the revival of RT historical and cultural monuments took place in Kazan

The Republican Fund "Revival" is unique  that  it  was  capable  to join forces and coordinate the activities of various organizations and individuals,  to create an effective mechanism of operation, based at  the high level of trust and tangible results. This  has been  stated by President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov at the solemn event dedicated to the 5th anniversary of the National Fund for the revival of historical and cultural monuments of Tatarstan. The event was held at the Kazan Academic Russian Bolshoi Drama Theater named after V. I. Kachalov.

It was also attended by the State Advisor of Tatarstan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the National Fund "Revival" Mintimer Shaimiev.  Rustam  Minnikhanov began his speech with congratulations addressed to the fund "Revival" and  M. Shaimiev, on the  first anniversary and the achievement of significant results in  revival of cultural monuments - the ancient city of Bolgar and Sviyazhsk island. "The Fund is unique  that it was   capable  to join forces and coordinate the actions implemented  by  a variety of organizations and individuals,  to create an effective mechanism of work, based at  the high level of trust and tangible results. Due to this for a short time it was feasible  to accomplish  an unprecedented amount of work. Dozens of objects  that five years ago were destroyed or very poor condition   have been  renovated and restored  , "-   R. Minnikhanov  said.  Tatarstan President reminded that  the restoration of shrines  if Tatarstan was  the first President Mintimer Shaimiev. "Grasping   for the restoration of monuments of Islamic and Orthodox culture, you have become a leader in a spiritual renewal of   the  society. Your personal credibility, experience of the head of the state,  scale and boundless humanity became the foundation of success, "-  Rustam Minnikhanov addressed to   Mintimer  Shaimiev.  R. Minnikhanov said that from the first days of the foundation "Revival"  has been  supported by the Russian President Vladimir Putin.    The Fund has succeeded  to attract national and federal funding for targeted programs owing to which  a large amount of work in Bulgaria and Sviyazhsk was carried out. President of the Republic thanked everyone who provided invaluable assistance in  restoration of relics - the ministries and departments, large industrial enterprises, Russian and foreign investors and businessmen. "Unconditional support of the fund was rendered  by  residents of the Republic. In addition, the Foundation's work was  conducted in collaboration with the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Tatarstan and Kazan Metropolitan ", - stated   R. Minnikhanov. The long-awaited and very expensive victory for Tatarstan and Russia as a whole  the President called the inclusion of Bulgaria in the list of UNESCO last year. "This opens up new perspectives and provides a good opportunity to promote the island Sviyazhsk. We have high chances ", - he said. RT President noted that "the revival of the historic gems makes  Tatarstan  recognizable outside the country." Every year  the flow of wanting to visit Bulgaria and Svijazhsk increases. Last year alone, there have visited 465,000 people. Bulgarian museum-reserve was visited  by  285 thousand people, and Svijazhsk – by more than 180 thousand people. This is three times more than in 2010. "We are not resting on our laurels, we still have much to do" – continued  R. Minnikhanov. In particular, he stated that a place in Bulgaria  had been determined  for the construction of the hotel. In addition,  new, unique museums in Bulgaria and Sviazhsky would be created,   further  arrangement   held . "I am sure all our plans come to life and 5-year history of the fund" Revival "will continue", - Rustam  Minnikhanov concluded. For special contribution  in cause of  to  preservation and restoration of historic-cultural and spiritual heritage of Tatarstan  Letter of  gratitude  from the President of the Republic of Tatarstan  the collective fund "Revival"  was awarded.  Minnikhanov Shaimiev presented the award. "It is a time of spiritual revival and its acquisition. We are  not in words, but in fact   have implemented, and this today we  can say with some pride from every tribune. I want to thank you all for it, "-  M. Shaimiev   said. He said that the project to restore monuments in Tatarstan became  a nation-wider. "I can not stop saying  when it is  done from the heart and soul, it always finds support. We have until the end, and   may be , and could not yet assess what is being done, but more importantly, it brings together our people. Unites  at the household level and from  a very young age, and covers all ages. This is  new word on the road to civilized development, "-  M. Shaimiev  said. He thanked Rustam Minnikhanov for the appreciation and noted that today it is necessary to set new goals. Such as, for example, to attract tourists, because the republic, he said, has a rich cultural, historical and architectural heritage. "We can very quickly become attractive for guests of any level. We can do it. Let's do it immediately. After all, I would not have believed  myself   5 years ago, what we can do. That's what we are, what we have here  done! Let us make our country more attractive and beautiful "- summed  up  Mintimer Shaimiev. At the end of his speech, he specifically thanked the Vice-Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatartsan, Executive Director of "Revival" Tatiana Larionova, who, he said, is "a  person born for good works."

The solemn ceremony continued  by  watching the show "Kara Polat" ("Black Chamber"). This opera legend was created at the initiative and with financial support from the National Fund for the Revival of historical and cultural monuments of the Republic of Tatarstan.
