State Song and Dance Ensemble of Tatarstan summed up the year

The outgoing year for the State Song and Dance Ensemble of the RT was a successful one. This was told at a meeting with journalists by artistic director of SSDE RT, RT People's Artist Ayrat Khametov, director of the ensemble Yuri Zhukov and chief choreographer Raila Garipova.

Before the meeting, journalists were invited to the rehearsal, where artists presented part of a new program for a solo concert, which takes place on December 11 at the M. Jalil Tatar State Opera and Ballet Theatre.

As Airat Khametov told after rehearsa, the year started with an important event - the participation of the State Song and Dance Ensemble of the RT in the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Sochi. "There stood our a choir group, there were many well-known professional teams, including us," - Ayrat Khametov said.

Further, only the second time in the history of the ensemble the collective took part in the subscription of the Moscow International House of Music. "In Moscow, we often perform during the Days of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, and having seen our performance, we were invited to participate in the subscription," - Ayrat Khametov said. Artistic director noted that another important event of the year was a solo concert in Moscow. "For us it is very responsible, prestigious and interesting. Muscovites were very pleased with our program, "- said the speaker.

Raila Garipova told that the ensemble has only recently returned from Moscow, where artists first took part in a concert at the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia. "To perform on the historical stage of the Bolshoi Theater - a great honor for us. I had a dream - to mark the 80th anniversary of the ensemble at the Bolshoi Theatre, "- added Ayrat Khametov.

Ayrat Khametov noted that the ensemble took part in the opening ceremony of the big stage of the State Musical Theatre of Folklore "Russian Song" under the leadership of Nadezhda Babkina. Honored Artist of the RSFSR offered the ensemble next year to take part in the same concert.

He reported that on December 11, at the M. Jalil Tatar State Opera and Ballet a solo concert  of  Song and Dance Ensemble of the RT will be given where the audience will be presented the new program. In the first part the audience will see the song "Ak murzalar." "White Murzas – is historically the upper class of our people. I was preparing for a long time, two years read the literature on this subject, visited museums in Moscow, which have costumes. From books and photographs of our artists the costumes were made"- said artistic director. The audience will be presented for the first time the item "Golden Belt" - a pair of male dance, which is a continuation of the female dance "Silver Bracelet", put a few years ago. Historice reference of the dance is taken from the art of the "Golden Horde".

"In all the activities of government of the Republic the National Song and Dance Ensemble of the RT is the leading element. We not only participate, but also create them ourself. Almost in all events I am the director of the program. I'm interested in this work - see the other teams, other trends, travel a lot and watch the performances and help our colleagues. When you create something together, the result is much better ", - assured the artistic director.

The plans of the team for next year - new productions, inviting renowned choreographers, composers, the search for new works for choir, orchestra. "From the pop artists of the Tatar we had received many proposals for joint action with the ensemble" - concluded Ayrat Khametov.

Raila Garipova said that this year in the village clubs of RT was given a large number of concerts and master classes, which are held by teachers and musical director of the ensemble.

"This year, our ensemble was very popular. Probably because we are performing well everywhere. We are very happy and at the same time are set for the more serious work"- summed up the chief choreographer.
