Kazan hosts festival "Art Kovcheg (Ark)" - the event, combining the talents of disabled children with impaired vision and skills of musicians, artists and art teachers of Tatarstan

November 15 and 16, Kazan hosted the festival "Art Kovcheg (Ark)" - the event, combining the talents of disabled children with impaired vision and skills of musicians, artists and art teachers of Tatarstan.

The festival was held on the basis of the "House of Actor," included   master classes in guitar, singing, elocution, improvisation, familiarity with rare musical instruments and two festival concerts. In a chamber atmosphere of the hall more than 50 participants and spectators have gathered . Such professionals like artistic director and chief conductor of the Chamber Orchestra of Kazan "La Primavera" Rustem Abyazov; known Russian singer, a laureate of the International Competition "Romansiada" and salon hostess of "Kazan Romance" Julia Ziganshina; guitarist, teacher and composer Aleksadr Lavrentiev; director Evgeni Aladinsky; Radik Salimov composer; vocal teacher Lilia Fattakhova and many others have shared their knowledge with young festival participants.

"Art Kovcheg" was a logical development of the personal project by composer and singer-songwriter Dmitry Bikchentaev in which he, as a teacher playing guitar for four years on a volunteer basis and on their own initiative teaches guitar accompaniment for the blind and visually impaired children. During this time the participants of this project, the students of the Kazan special school №172 for the blind and visually impaired children formed the ensemble "Nezami." The guys performed successful concerts and participated in festivals and competitions, recorded and presented a disc to the public in Kazan on April, 2014. Within the festival, Dmitry Bikchentaev’s friends and colleagues joined him in work with children with disabilities.

"Art Kovcheg" is held for the first time, and the organizers hope that it becomes a tradition.

The festival was supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Russian Ministry of Culture and the Union of theatrical figures of the Republic of Tatarstan.
