Iskander Sakaev has been recognized Best director of the festival "Maskarad (Masked ball)" as stage director of the play "Ashik Kerib" by the Almetyevsky Drama Theatre

Summarizing Russian Festival performances based on Mikhail Lermontov "Maskarad" was held on the scene of the Penza Drama Theatre named after A.V. Lunacharsky past Tuesday on October 7.

According to theater critic, deputy head of department of "Nezavisimaya Gazeta", the radio "Vesti FM»  commentator Cand.Phil.Sci Grigory Zaslavsky, during the discussion of nominations a jury came to the conclusion that the festival dedicated to Mikhail Lermontov, could have only one nomination, that is "Hero of Our Time."

In nomination "Hero of Our Time. Actor " diploma has received a young actor Dinar Khusnutdinov - performer in a title role in the play" Ashik Kerib " staged by the  Almetyevsky Tatar State Drama.

Best actress by the jury was recognized Honored Worker of Culture of the Penza region Albina Smelova, performing several roles in the performance of the Penza Drama "Hero of Our Time."

In nomination "Hero of Our Time. Artist "diploma was awarded Irina Lebedeva for costumes in the play by State Academic Russian Drama Theatre of Bashkortostan" Maskarad".

Best director  by decision of  the festival jury "Maskarad" unanimously recognized  director of the play "Ashik Kerib" staged by the Almetyevsky Tatar State Drama Theatre Iskander Sakaev.

Also, "For service to the theater" was awarded  director of the Penza Regional Drama Theater Anatoly Gulyaev.

"We thank all of our panel of judges for the work, and thank you very much to you, dear viewers! Today I have a feeling that a baby was born. It is a great happiness - not only to create, but to create and present to the world this wonderful festival,"- said during the closing ceremony of the nationwide events artistic director of Penza Drama Sergey Kazakov.
